Legal & General to Cut 1,000 Jobs by Mid-2027 in Drive to Simplify Operations
Legal & General has initiated plans to cut approximately 1,000 jobs by the middle of 2027, representing roughly a tenth of its global workforce. The restructuring begins with a voluntary redundancy programme among United Kingdom staff as chief executive António Simões accelerates his drive to dismantle organisational complexity. The cuts will largely target central corporate functions and retail pensions operations while sparing the group asset management business.
