Cornell Faculty Passes Historic No-Confidence Vote Over Administration Response to Sexual Assault
The Cornell University Faculty Senate voted 75 to 50 to approve a resolution of no confidence in the central administration following outrage over an alleged 2024 fraternity gang rape. The symbolic rebuke represents the first no-confidence measure passed by the governing body since its establishment in 1996. Cornell's Board of Trustees immediately defended university leadership, stating full confidence in President Michael Kotlikoff to enact planned reforms.
