Uber Technologies is eliminating approximately 3,300 corporate positions, representing about 10 percent of its global workforce, in its largest retrenchment since 2020. The overhaul explicitly targets middle management, coordination roles, and micro-teams to flatten corporate hierarchy and accelerate decision-making. Alongside the cuts, Uber is rolling back remote work to roughly one percent of staff and redirecting capital toward autonomous vehicle partnerships and delivery expansion.
