OpenAI Acquires Orchestra Bio to Expand Drug Development Capabilities
OpenAI has acquired biotech software startup Orchestra Bio to integrate agentic operational tools into its Rosalind life sciences ecosystem. The deal allows OpenAI to move beyond laboratory reasoning models into the complex project tracking and workflow orchestration required to bring pharmaceuticals to market. Financial terms were not made public as artificial intelligence labs intensify competition across biological research.
